
Meet The Board
The Wheels Project is governed by its Board of Management, all of whom are volunteers. To find out more about them read below:
Steve Mortimore (Chair)
Steve joined the Board in 2004. As Assistant Chief Constable of Avon and Somerset Police and Chair of the Board, Steve Mortimore continues the long-standing association of the police service with The Wheels Project as part of its involvement in crime reduction initiatives and community partnerships.
Mr Mortimore is head of Specialist Operations of the Avon and Somerset force.
Nick Pritchard (Secretary)
Nick is a practicing partner with TLT Solicitors in Bristol, having been with the firm for almost 30 years. His specialism is commercial property and he is recognised as a leader in this field by Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession (2000-2001). NIck has direct access to a wide number of legal disciplines which has served the Project well.
Eric Wormald (Treasurer)
Eric rejoined the Board in August 2003, having previously served as The Wheels Project's Treasurer for many years. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the FCA. He runs his own accountancy company which is based in Redland, Bristol. Eric's expertise and guidance have been invaluable in establishing sound financial systems throughout the Project.
John Kane
Married with three children, John Kane is a nursing home proprietor and director of Belmont Care Ltd. Before this he was an RAF Squadron Leader for 23 years until his retirement in 1987.
Since 1992 John has been a magistrate on the North Somerset Bench with a particular interest in youth crime, hence his involvement with The Wheels Project. John has contributed to the Project with his shrewd business acumen and insightful personnel management skills. |
