All programmes contain content to address learners' knowledge and behaviour: 'Under the Bonnet, Behind the Wheel and In the Mind'
We have a number of progressive programmes available within The Wheels Project:
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Target Groups
We deliver our programmes specifically to young people who show one or more of the following characteristics:
- offending.
- showing significant anti social behaviour.
- young carer.
- leaving care.
- poor school attendance.
- NEET.
- teenage parents.
Referrals come from organisations such as schools, special schools, pupil referral units or youth groups such as Youth Inclusion Programmes and Youth Offending Teams.
We have at least 6 planned intakes at the start of each new academic term plus occasional intakes during school holidays. Click here for a list of intake dates.
Referrals are not accepted on an individual basis.
We intend that these programmes form part of an overall strategy of the referring agent towards addressing EXCLUSION; CRIME REDUCTION ROAD SAFETY, UNEMPLOYMENT and LIFE SKILLS.
The Wheels Project adopts the the Goverment's 'Every Child Matters' initiative towards the following:
'Be Healthy, Stay Safe, Enjoy and Achieve, Make a Positive Contribution and Achieve Economic Well Being.'
At least 2 members of staff are provided and groups enjoy sole use of our facilities.
These programmes can be delivered in or outside of school hours.

If you are an individual interested in attending a course then please call us if your Teacher, Youth Leader, Key worker or Connexions Officer can't help you (you might not have one, if so call us directly and we'll try to link you with a local group).
